The main functions performed by the Geotextile Membrane are :
Separation : separates two materials of different nature to prevent their interpenetration and prevents contamination and degradation of the structure.
Filtration : the geotextile in the soil allows the passage of a fluid while preserving, by its different openings of filtration, the uncontrolled migration of the particles.
Drainage : Geotextile is a preferred path for fluids. It collects, channels and transports fluids and thus makes it possible to control the water content of the structures.
Reinforcement : thanks to its mechanical properties, the geotextile is resistant to the constraints and limits the deformations that the structures undergo thus making it possible to stabilize and / or increase the bearing capacity of the soil.
Protection : serve as a local stress reduction layer to prevent or reduce potential damage to another layer of materials.
6' Roll width :
Novatex 1200
1.75 mx 30.48 m = 53.34 square meters
5'9" width x 100' length = 575 square feet
12.5' Roll width :
Novatex 90
3.81m x 109.7m x 1.3mm thick = 418 square meters
12.5 'width x 360' length = 4 500 square feet
